Over an year passed by!!!

I was looking at my last post. Jan 17th, 2005. Thoday, Jan 29th 2006. Looks like my last post was to blog on the things I saw in India during the last visit. After that, a deal silence. For a year. Got busy with work and the American surroundings. For a few months, my mind was weeping. Seeing what I saw in India - the noises, the poverty, the struggle and pain in the face of people who survive there daily. And now away from all the commotion, noise, commotion, smells and busyness - to a calm, clean, orderly, easier world. America! I love this country! What a benefit it has given to the people. I haven't seen any other country in depth like America. For that matter, I don't know much about America. Lived in Austin for 16 years! 16, that is! Can't believe it. Came across mostly nice and good people, who care about each other, who loves each other, and respects each other, most of all, probably the most giving of all the people in this world. Only great minds can do that. Very innocent people.

Working in the Real Estate industry for a change, I am exposed to more people than I was before in a white collar job. The pain of day to day living of lower income people, I don't think is not much different from India, but the folks here are better off. If anyone who has the will to get one's life better, they just need to have that will. The surroundings can provide jobs, food, and everything is in plenty. To make a living in America, there is only one thing you have to do. Just show up. Where else in this world this can be said. That is why America is a very important country in the world for humans. That is why America need to be protected from ignorant people who are steeped in their misconceptions. America's image in the world might not be the best, but when you come and live inside this country, you will see, it is a different world altogether. A much wonderful world. A world were there is dignity of life. A world where the quality of life is the best. I am sure, this is not universal. The underbelly of America might not be all that pretty, but still, I think it is probably the best country in the world. Of course, if you peel away the povery and othe negativities of India, India is great too. I am sure, every one will feel the same about their own countries.
